Since 1995, Mayor Donna Rogers Jasso’s steady leadership and unwavering commitment have guided Webster through a period of unprecedented economic growth and vitality while maintaining the highest levels of service to residents and businesses alike.

Her public service spans more than three decades, serving as Council Member and Mayor since 1995, and as President of the Webster Economic Development Corporation since its inception in 1999. Throughout her tenure, Mayor Jasso has remained focused on strengthening Webster’s foundation while preparing it for the future.

Her invaluable combination of experience, vision, and dedication is embodied in her “Webster Advantage” platform - an approach that has helped deliver some of the lowest property tax and utility rates in the region. By fostering strategic business growth, championing premier public safety, investing in quality infrastructure, and emphasizing unsurpassed customer service, Mayor Jasso has ensured that Webster remains competitive, resilient, and thriving.

Mayor Jasso has pioneered transformative economic development, community development, and infrastructure initiatives, including Project Genesis featuring Costco, Odyssey Business Park, and Genesis Boulevard; Project Flyway with Topgolf, American Furniture Warehouse, and Great Wolf Lodge; Project Gateway retail development; NASA Bypass Business Park with Absolute Volleyball Academy; the Webster Fire Station; Texas Avenue Park; the Webster Animal Shelter; NASA Parkway improvements; and key corridor extensions within the Webster Medical Center.

Though Webster’s footprint spans just 6.7 square miles, it is home to more than 10,000 residents and over 2,200 businesses, including some of the most innovative and successful companies in the world. It is deeply important to Mayor Jasso that residents, businesses, and visitors experience Webster as vibrant, welcoming, attractive, and safe - a wonderful place to live, work, stay, and play.

Mayor Jasso firmly believes that a city’s true strength lies in its people - those who build, invest, collaborate, and lead with dedication and thoughtful decision-making. She remains committed to working alongside her fellow council members, board members, staff, and constituents to ensure Webster continues to lead by example.

For more than two decades, Mayor Jasso has called Webster home. She is married to her husband, Joe, and treasures spending her spare time with her granddaughters, Mia and Claira. Her deep personal connection to the City, its community, and its people is reflected in her enduring legacy of service and her continued dedication to Webster’s bright future.
